Pinterest Inspired Meal: Drama In The Pot Chicken Dinner

I was on Pinterest searching for some different recipes to try and I came across quite a few. I pinned the ones that looked really interesting and inexpensive to try.

You don't have to copy the recipe all the way....just add your finishing touches and call it your own. I changed up some of the ingredients and gave it a new name.

All you need for this dinner:
Crockpot
Chicken (any part or whole)
4 medium golden potatoes
(depending on family size)
1 bowl of baby carrots
Curry, Garlic, Onion Powder
Chicken Powder

Wash and cut your potatoes the way you want to. Get a bowl and add baby carrots to fill up the bowl. In a different bowl, take your potatoes and put them in there...season them with curry and garlic powder...give it a good stir. Add your cleaned chicken to the crockpot and season it thoroughly, sprinkle chicken powder on top and add a 1/2 cup of water.
Add your carrots and potatoes on top of the chicken and let the crockpot work it's magic.

This meal can cook overnight on Saturday and wake up to Sunday dinner.

Try it...you'll love it!

Youtube Changes....Good or Bad?

Yesterday Twitter went crazy about the new changes that are being made on YouTube. How will that affect us? If you create videos and upload them to YouTube, there are some things you must know.
Beware of what kind of content you are putting up.
Make sure you have appropriate language. ..meaning no swearing or nudity. ..anything sexual. If your videos have all of those that I mentioned, you will not be able to monetize your videos and make money off it...which l don't care because I don't get checks from YouTube anyway!

Some videos are already started to get flagged and monetization are taken away.

Is this a good or bad thing? In my opinion it's both...the good thing is maybe some of the nonsense will stop but the bad thing is people feel like they're being stifled and freedom of speech is being taken away. They already flagged so many Black Lives Matter Movement videos but still running the other videos...smh.

My question is...Why now? What's really going on?

Keep your eyes and ears open..do more research.

Back To School!

Omg..the time is finally here and I and ready for it! The summer was good but school time is better.
I know some parents are lik..girl, are you crazy?! Maybe a little but I'm ready to have my house back!

Preparing for back to school can be hectic, but it smoothes out during the weeks. I think the first month is filled with madness. There's a lot money being spent on supplies, backpacks, lunch money and the list goes on!

I can finally say that for my 4th grader the supplies didn't break the bank but we had some bus issues...that are now straightened out. He's so excited about school and that makes me feel good. My freshman in High School...each binder costed $10.99 and he neded two of them and the list of all the supplies he needed for his classes, I can say he broke the bank this time around.

I love to see my kids happy about school. every year leads into a different and I want them to get the most out of their education, so that they know that this is what you need to build your future. It is also imporant to have reading time and extra work acivities on the weekend, given by the paren o help keep their brain functioning.

I hope all the parents, children, and teachers have a wonderful school year!

Parents...if you can, join the P.T.A...check wih your childs school and see what they are offering. I use to be a PTA mom and I enjoyed it.

VH1 HIP HONORS. ..All Hail The Queens

This is not going to be long...short and sweet!

I think they could've done a lot better promoting it and putting it together. I also think that Mc Lyte and YoYo should've been up on the honoring panel as well.  Don't get me wrong, Lil Kim and Missy have every right to be honored...they have paved the way for the younger generation. I think they should've been grouped with later 90s artist and Queen Latifah with older 80s-90s group.

Overall it was ok....Im glad they finally got honored. I feel like when it come to the women things get a little rushed.

Light Lunch/Dinner Meal...

This meal is great for anyone especially those that are on a weight loss journey.
It's quick &simple.

Ground Turkey & Mixed Vegetables

Depending on how many you're feeding, cook 1-2 lbs of ground Turkey..make sure it's cooked well done.
Cook a bag of mixed vegetables in a separate pot. Make sure to cook them half way done.
Once that's done...pour the vegetables in the same pot with the ground turkey, cover and cook on low for 15-20 mins. Season to your liking.

To keep it healthy..serve over brown rice. It also taste great over yellow rice.

Enjoy!

Bath & Body Works Products

I've always been a B&BW addict since the 90s. The sales were always great and the product was excellent. As time go on things started to change... some changes are good and some are bad, it depends.

Last year I started noticing that some products that were sold during winter, were also being repackaged and sold for spring. I'm not saying they haven't made any new products because they have and some were ok. I'm like change but I love my retro scents. Cherry Blossom,  Juniper Breeze, Amber Blush and the list goes on. I was happy when they brought back Cool Coconut Surf, I just love that scent.

Let's compare Cool Coconut Surf and Hawaii Coconut Water &Pineapple. To me they smell the same...when I couldn't find anymore of the cool coconut surf, I racked up on the Hawaii Coconut Water & Pineapple and was content. I guess anything you make with Coconut is going to have that identical scent.

The latest product I bought from B&BW is the Sparkling Limoncello body cream and spray... and let me tell you, it smell so good. The lemon scent perks you up and it's not overpowering. I would definitely recommend anyone to try it.

The best time for me to shop at Bath and Body Works is the Semi Annual Sale..I can really do some serious damage! I feel like I can get more for my buck and the use of coupons makes my shopping fun.

I'm not bashing or telling anyone not to shop there...just pay close attention to what you're buying because you don't want to repurchase scents that you already have.
